BS38 fuel nipple ?

so the carbs i have a the single throttle BS38s trying to rebuild and one of the fuel intake nipples is missing i have read about guys just running one because there is a fuel line that runs between carbs to fuel both.....and they just JB weld one of them shut...has anyone done this with success or has anyone got a better idea?

Sorry i dont know if i worded my ?wrong i was wondering if i could just cap off one fuel nipple and run gas to just one carb cause i know theres a fuel line connecting to both carbs

I routinely cap off one nipple on every set of BS 38s that I work on. I would just roughen the hole before using the JB Weld.
I have spare original nipples if you are interested. Re-installing a nipple and then capping it would be a better solution IMHO.

I always use a small piece of Tygon fuel hose with the shank part of a M8 bolt pushed in it.
