engineering beats sanding fiberglass, this is the part i like most,i need to bring the chain to the original path, since the bike have been changed from its original position the chain is gonna hit the frame and the swingarm,im gonna build two chain rollers, one atach to the frame the other to the swingarm.they have to be rollers because if i put something like a piece of plastic is gonna cause exesive friction and strange noises.for the rollers im gonna use skateboard wheels ,the only problem is finding red skateboard wheels .as sonn as i find those wheels im good.by the way FIBERGLASS DUST WONT LET YOU SLEEP :yikes:

the forks are a little bit soft,so i think im gonna do the little trick we use in old motocross bikes.we use to cut a larger spacer so the spring is more compressed .is gonna be stiff like morning wood .

well still waiting for parts ,caliper, carbs, advancer, master, etc.this is the color i think is gonna be painted.

today i start dealing with the little brake issue on the xs650 ,i think it has to be the single piston caliper design, one big piston requires more pressure than 4 small ones.but i think im gonna start with the disc.im leaving the easy stuff for later.well today i manage to build the stencil to cool out the disc in both ways.took me an hour but came out nice,

Nice work! About the monoshock: is the travel going to be excessive, as in will the rear wheel hit the underside of the seat? And yes fiberglass will eat your ass UP.

i already tried the shock ,i live in a hill .the day it was finished i was so impacient to test it that i inflate the front tire(the tube has a small hole) and pick a few kids that were happy to help me take it uphill a few times.they were amazed to see me going downhill with no brakes .i did have to take the clip ons handles to keep the kids fron sitting on the bike.it works really nice.the trick is to use the leverage .the actual travel is the same as the yamaha r6,i use my brother bike as a model , then buy an r6 shock and adjust the hight of the brace till i match the rate i want.always remeber to keep the shock in its middle posittion so you can adjust it later if you need.
