Finally figuring out my idle noise after adjusting valves 4 times
Went to recheck cam tension
Clicking on dry rotation matched the plunger moving beyond the threads
If I hold my finger against the plunger firmly the noise goes away on rotation.
I think I have mixed components in my tensioner
Are there interchange problems with plunger, aduster screw, spring.(lengths)
I have the older style shoe type rear tensioner not the wheel type.
The image in the clymer book shows a threaded aduster having a shoulder and the newer one not
HELP!
