Can header pipes be heated and bent a little?

If so, does anyone have a suggestion on the best way to go about this? I need to decrease the bend coming right from the exhaust port so the pipe travels more down than backwards. Sorry I don't have a pic to explain.

I'm planning on buying some from Gordon Scott, but I need to get her running and titled before spending more money.

Thanks everyone!

The stock pipes fit the frame well. The 1.5 headpipes from Mike's don't they bend to far at the first bend. The pipe is ok at the top but at the bottom they are too far back.
I have thought about tring to reband them with heat, just haven't got there yet.
Cutting most of the way through with a hack saw , bend then weld the cut might work too.

Here's a pic to show what I mean. I took it at a bit of a rearward angle so the bottom lines up with the rear edge of the down tube.
At the top you can see how much difference there is. The bottom is about 3/4 inch behind the top.
It should be the same top and bottom.
