Carb holder repair question?

I have a carb holder that has separated from the aluminum flange. So far I have cleand and roughened up the mating surfaces, applied marine grade epoxy and clamped them in a vise to cure. Has anyone succesfully made a repair to these. Is this a good or is there a better method?

That might work. I have done the same except with grey RTV. It held up for about 800 miles if I recall correctly.
