Case fastener torque

Getting ready to reassemble my case halves, just wanted to double check the torque spec.

Manual says 14 ft/lbs on all fasteners, which makes sense as they're all the same size.

Another post recommends going to 16 ft/lbs on the same size (8mm) fasteners when used on the cylinder head.

What does the Brain Trust recommend?

Don't know if you ought to trust my brain, but you shouldn't need more than 14 ftlbs in either location.
