Clutch cable pull in alt. cover what am i missing will not hook up

i have a new clutch cable for my build and when i go to hook it up the cable seems to be short and looks like im missing somthing on the arm that pulls the cable please help

The part that goes in that hole is what the clutch cable mates up to.
