When I converted to single points I bought a dual output Honda coil with integral HT leads. To fit it, I cut the original coil bracket off the frame and welded a couple of new brackets in place to fit the coil.

That coil lasted a few weeks, so I bought another, but I'm not sold on this type, so, sent of for another with screw in HT leads. When it arrived I discovered it wouldn't fit between the brackets I welded on as the coil was longer.

So I could fit either coil, I machined up this saddle clamp which can be clamped anywhere along the short 22mm tube under the top frame tube, so allowing the fitting of any coil of any length.

Nothing ever goes to plan though: Half way through the job, the mill started making clicking noises from the gear drive. So, I spent a day tearing the mill apart and checking the gears, shafts, motor and selectors. Couldn't find a damn thing wrong, even the plastic fuse gears are in good shape. So I cleaned everything up and stuck it back together, and that damn annoying clicking noise remains..
