Thanks! It's a great running bike and I love it. People are always coming up to me and saying "I had one just like that."

A lot of those people may have had a yellow example of your model Mick, but I honestly doubt they had an bike in the same condition as yours. It is beautiful. Enjoy the ride mate and have a safe trip. Some pictures would be good when you get home.

Not mine. Believe it's Michelle Michau (maybe wrong spelling) who took this. Motorcycle photographer...has some really cool stuff!

Anyway i've always loved this pic.

Thanks Johann! He sure is my Granddad!!

That's pretty cool, wish my Grandfather rode. He did drive some pretty cool shit though. Recruited by Busch in 1939 while living in Canada (he immigrated there from Scotland, near where the Clydesdale's originated) and given US citizenship to move to St. Louis made me, the first born US Citizen in our family. (my father was born in Canada)
We have always taken a lot of pride in his work at Budweiser as a "Hitch" driver.
In these pictures Andrew Haxton is shown driving a 3 Hitch, a 4, a 6, and an 8 Hitch Team.

jdizon - that bike is a beauty.

preacherman - your workspace is about six time the size of my micro place (the Smallest Worshop in the World). Oh! for some space like that. Two bikes squeeze in - one has to go in diagonally, but I'm not grumbling.

I've enjoyed the pics you all have shared.
And since we recently made another year, I was going through the years of pictures.
This was our first anniversary. We didn't have a large assortment of accessories available then so the tail pack is pieced to-gather from jeans. The nylon tents were kinda new on the market(for our area) and we found out if you touched the inside when it rain you had a leak. Now I suppose that wouldn't be a problem for most but we were young and still rambunctious so the sides got, ummm touched. . . alot. The sleeping bags were mostly cotton materials, damp and clammy after the first night.
It took us all day to make it from western OK to Lake Tenkiller in N.E. OK.
The bike wasn't all that fast, but solid and reliable. And amazingly comfortable....then.
Since then I have gained some wind resistance and I'm not sure we would both fit.
I know we don't on the 650's now. We had that bike for 3 years and had tons of fun on it.
In fact I'm not sure that wasn't the best trip we've ever had. But my memory has rose colored glasses.
The others in no certain order.
My son and I playing in the snow. Every kid should have a monkey bike safety cops be damned.
My son and I playing in the dirt.
The little brides first bike.
The gas lines of '79 (In Denton, TX I think)
Eureka Springs, AR. When 71 was still a two lane and Tyson hadn't stunk it up with turkey houses.

Seen at rockerbox/vintage races Road America. I didn't make it there @#$!#%$%#$$!

And it looks like he will have it redlined if you would get out of the way.
Your are a lucky man racerdave to have children that would give you such a wonderful playmate.
On a side note my eyes aren't up to snuff is that a thumbs up or the finger he is giving me?

Great pictures weekend. You sold the bike but have another. Like the paint on bike in the black and white photograph. The girl looked like a keeper.
