diy screw up #1......dont think you know what your doing,read the manual first
well yesterday i gave myself a fork oil bath......
i was working on checking my fork oil in my vlx honda,and didnt have my bike front end on blocks,only the side kickstand....well i was loosening both top caps with 2 socket wrenches at the same time when ...pop pop....caps went flying...fluid shot everywhere(mostly on me)...and there was alot,because i had no suspension movement(due to too much fluid)thats why i was checking it.
....well all is cleaned up now,i made some extended fork spacers,,,,springs lost some of their spring action from age....so i made some from pvc...all working good now....my next adventure will be to tackle the rear brakes.
if your listening bert,the high idle at stops was the carb slide sticking,you were right!
