Although it doesnt look like much in the photos we had a hell of a storm in the black hills. we live on 3 acres of wooded forest and have lost at least 25 trees from the heavy snow and high winds. I havent walked all the property yet since to snow is so deep. we were out of power for 28 hours and the plows are yet to arrive to dig us out. At least the trees didnt fall on the house and garages.

You had a short summer! Last April I made a mad dash from Rapid City to Sioux Falls to avoid a snow storm. This one should melt pretty fast though.

We did have a short summer with tons of rain. but Im not going complain about that. This snow on the other hand is to much and way to early.

I dont mind a little snow but this was to much to soon in the season. nothing like having 30" plus for your first snow of the season. I like getting into winter a little slower than this.
