Damperbolt tool (Early) Haynes manual describtion

Hey

Going to the workshop tomorrow, and I wanted to pick up a rod for the damper bolt tool.

But I forgot my Haynes manual at the garage, so I don't have the measurements.

Any of you have it who could share?

Hugh says use a 17mm 6Pt socket and attack it with a grinder or whatever you have.

5twins says use a 1/4" rod and smash it down flat on one end and make a hook on the other.

I used the smashed rod method (ouch) easy and cheap.

Yeah I know that one, but I haven't got anything I want to cut up, or the tools for it

Pinching a rod is so much easier

Pyroman, do you have the measurements? I recall something with 11mm., is that right?
