I am on a hunt for a electrical box/can. Can't really justify $100 for one when I can adapt with something else. Does anyone know a generic dimension for one of the round can styled ones?

Just want to make sure I can put everything in there! Any help is appreciated.

i used small breakerbox for a hot tub

see it? perfect for pwr switch, and ign switch, 6 blade fuseblock from napa, and the magic box for the 80+

That's genius! I'm on it.

and it will look like 5" pvc with end caps on it.
just go to an electrical store, kinda place where you can build projects, they always have an assortment of aluminum boxes with o-ring inset tops, I used a 3.5" deep x 4" wide x 5" tall, right behind down tube and looks clean, it bolted to the flat plate the reg/rec is mounted too, everything is hidden and my switches are in the flat lid surface. clean and doesn't look like you went shopping for plumbing or home electrics.

I used 4" exhaust tubing and made aluminum plates for the end caps. Has a flate plate inside that electrics bolt to.
