Do I need manifold gaskets with VM34s?

After trying to get a set of VM34s from MMM for the past 3 weeks, I found out today he's backordered on the left carb. Sudco won't get any until July they say.

I did some digging around and Niche cycle has an xs650 kit. Not pre-tapped for syncing nipples like MMM does, but it does come with genuine K&Ns, pre-jetted for XS650 with additional tuning jets, a 2-1 cable, and Mikuni manifolds.

One thing I've noticed with all these kits is that they don't seem to have manifold gaskets like the BS38s or 34s. Can anyone confirm whether or not these are needed?

YES YOU DO I TRIED MY VM34 INTAKES WITH OUT(WAS TOLD THEY WERE NOT NEEDED ) HAD A VACUUM LEAK INFACT I USED 2 SETS TO GET TO SEAL ALSO THE BOLTS WERE TOO LONG MANAFOLD ARE THINER THAN STOCK ONES.

Kit I bought was the same price, but didn't include the throttle. It does, however, have K&N filters. It's the same kit Sudco sells for the XS650.
