Went through the headlight 3 times and couldn't get anything different to happen. Ordered a new OEM regulator/rectifier to see if that cures the problem.

Received new regulator/rectifier and it seems to have cured my issue for now. Hopefully goin to tinker more in the coming days and will report back with updates.

Went on a few miles of riding yesterday; so far so good. Carbs might need a bit of a tune to get there but it starts and runs.
