engine and parts interchangeability

Well they guy bailed because I respectfully made him an offer of 200 dollars.. if anyone could recommend a place to get some solid part's I would greatly appreciate it.

I told you to take care due to the fact that we had agreed upon a price of $500, which was the # you provided when I asked what your best offer was, which you replied "$500-800" on Monday, 2/13/17

Despite only being 45min-hour away, you had told me the soonest you could possibly be here was this Sunday, 2/19/17.

You've wasted a substantial amount of my time over the past week with supremely juvenile, ignorant, and redundant questions. Additionally, I provided a litany of extra photos you requested on several occasions.

Now, Friday afternoon, 2/17/17, you text and renege on the deal we had agreed to, low balling me with an offer of 40% of our agreed upon price, 36 hours before you were scheduled to arrive on Sunday, 2/17/17.

I don't do business with, or have any use for, people who squander my time, don't keep their word, and insult me with low ball and ignorant offers.

4x 447 matched heads/valve covers/cases/cylinders, 1 set of which is fully machined/sleeved/bored for an 83mm big bore.
1x transmission
1x kickstart assembly

All very easily worth $500 here in the Pacific Northwest on the eve of riding weather with the sun shining and the temps breaching 60 degrees for the first time yesterday. The machining costs alone for the 83mm set up would approach $500.

Beatnik2138 was after a singular cylinder head/valve cover and could've parted out/eBayed the remaining parts he didn't need, more than recouping his $$$.

This post is intended to those reading as a warning that beatnik2138 doesn't have any idea what he's talking about, doesn't keep his word, will happily renege on agreed upon deals, and should be avoided.

As I stated above, I don't associate with, nor do business with, such people. Conduct business with him at you're own risk, I would not recommend it.

Nwwa. I do apologize and understand your frustration. You're right I didnt have an idea of what I was talking about but I quickly learned so thank you for that experience. I didn't know the value of the parts at first and if it would even work with what I had going on so I looked for others advice and input. Sorry? Not sorry! Haha I'm not hiding anything and I admit I don't know everything about motorcycles like you obviously do. I'm a total newbie. But you started somewhere just like everyone else did that have an interest and passion for motorcycles. To personally attack me on a forum and warn people about me is pretty low and shows a lot about you as a person. Let others make their own opinion and judgments about me. I was quick to make a high offer on parts I knew little about and the value of them. My bad. If I knew you were going to be so butthurt I would have low balled you from the get. BUT being a genuine, respectable human I tried to come to an agreement which you declined without hesitation. I'm not trying to be rude or disrespect you in anyway but when you personally attack me behind a screen and bring it to a forum instead of just letting it go is really kinda sad. Good luck finding someone to buy your parts. Really no need to respond. This post isn't for bickering.

nwwa................You have used this site for your personal ebay. 159 posts and 157 of those are in the Classifieds selling parts. You have been using this site for your business without any fees involved.

The only 2 posts you have made, that has not been in the classifieds, are in this thread.

Seriously if those parts were such a good deal for $500, (with any parts not wanted they would be able to recuperate the money by selling them on ebay), then why haven't you done this already.............

You are dealing with a newbie so give him some slack and stop abusing him and stop being such a cry baby..................No $500 for that stuff is not a good deal. Sure there is some oversized stuff that would cost a lot to do................But...........that 83mm bore that has been honed will need to have work done because there are no pistons to go with it. Any pistons bought will have to be re-matched to the bore................And stating... "I think" ....a certain type of piston will fit, is vague at least and shows you have no idea, and using a vague statement as a selling point...........

Your are a parasite. Stop your winging and sell it on ebay if you want to get top $ for your parts, and pay some fees................Have you donated any of your profits to XS650.com for the use of the classifieds, every post is for your gain without one post contributing to any interaction that may help someone.
