Yamaha installed the advance and points housing gaskets with sealer, that's why they're so stuck on there. Good place to use the paint stripper trick. After the 2nd application .....

That light grey colour on the left plug might be cured with an 1/8 turn on the pilot screw.

Good idea, haven't TOUCHED the carbs in YEARs, should at least check..

Yeah I tried brake cleaner, carb cleaner, MEK, and acetone. All helped, none did "much" LOL probably should have used some sort of adhesive on the seal to housing they went in pretty easy. The old seals had been bonded with something, they left rubber behind when I drove them out.
