Exhaust popping super loud?????

Ok so I took the carbs apart cause left cylinder wasn't firing. Spark good but wasn't getting fuel. Now both cylinders are firing but left side pops like a gun unless I am at about 4k rpm??????? Too lean, to rich? 81 stock carbs

Also if I leave the choke on ( which I don't) it will run fine!!

Carbs could be out of sync. Check the timing

Sync your carbs and check mixture. Also check for air leaks
