A few years ago myself and my dad went out and spent 1200 on a good engine and already hardtailed frame and a box of parts, sweat, blood and tears and now we have something I'm proud to call a product of our labor.

If you have any questions just let me know, I'm glad to share. This forum has given me and my dad tons of ideas, useful information and inspiration and I just want to take a moment to give back to you guys and show what we were able to accomplish using the World Wide Web as a tool.

me and my son built a bike when he was about 8 yrs old. it was a xr75 honda. that was 10 yrs ago we still talk about it. we tore it down and repainted and rebuilt everything. he really enjoyed it as i did.

he is now 19 and a big bike guy. he loves bikes but is going to college and doing well.

he would love that chopper!

Me and my dad are way ahead of you! we Picked up a runnable 82 XV920 and a donor bike from NC for $400 off of craigslist. It's REALLY different so far, but we haven't started foolin with it yet.
