How much oil you put in each leg Special 35mm fork
Suspension shop says compress leg, fill fork leg up to 150 mm from the top
Book says 169 mm per leg

Hey Wally, it could be Saturday morning blindness, but I can't see any reference to fork oil levels on the pdf.

From memory, I'm running a 150mm air gap (forks removed from bike and compressed, Progressive springs removed, no other mods).

I am 200lbs, 2.5inch lowered forks, running dex/merc ATF, with 8ounces of fluid. The ride is exactly what I want.

Whoops maybe this is it

169 cc 15.72 02) each leg
Yamaha fork oil 1Owt or equivalent

Distance from the top of inner tube oil level
without spring
Approx. 454 mm (17.9 in)

ATF... automatic transmission fluid. It works VERY well. There are some great writeups on this out there. Google it if you like. The service manual on my old CB750 actually called for it.

I just rebuilt mine. New springs and 6 oz. Of 15 weight suspension oil in each. It's an improvement, but IMO could b stiffer
