no personal experience but I guess you going to have the advantage of modern forks with all the associated adjustment on preload etc plus a less unsprung weight.
Mule runs quite a few of his bikes with USD forks, off Buells I think, so he would be the man to ask.

Thanks 73novaguy,trying to get some longer ones like the ones mean street makes but they are to pricey for me.
