Frame difference between 73 and 74 Tx650

I am looking at a double stack/ shotgun? Exhaust system,but its only listed for the 1974 TX650, I have a 73....was there any major changes in these two years?

Yes. The major frame changes happened in '74. That being said, my '71 has an '80 motor, and Mikes' 2-1 exh system....FOR A '74-'84! All year exhaust ports have the same exit, it's the frame mounts that are different. A shotgun exh should fit, the head. Some custom mounts should be in order for the frame though.

They say the frames got stronger/better in 1974 and up.
