Front axle thread size

I was curious if anyone knew the thread size on the front axle. My castle but looks like it has some torn up threads and I want to get a cheap nut just to test the threads on the axle to see if I need to replace it, the nut, or both.

Take the nut you have to a good hardware store. Find one with the same thread diameter and pitch.

from checking with Partzilla it is the same as my XS360 and it is a 14mm 1.5 pitch.

A metric thread file can work wonders. I've dressed the ends of many old axles. You go from a sticking, binding axle nut to one that spins on beautifully. A thread file doesn't look like it'll do much of anything but they work great. I consider it a "must have" tool for old bike work.
