I was looking at my front wheel that i havent put on yet and the rim size is on the lip correct, cause i though stock size was 19 for the front rim but mine says 20?

As far as I know every XS650 has come stock with a 19 inch front wheel.

really, i dont get it i though that the 20i was the size of the rim?
Definitely a 19. 19 is the diameter and 1.85 is the width. I've never even seen a 20 inch rim.. and if you someone had one, good luck finding tires!

my bmx was 20 but my xs is 19
So the DOT code for your rim size is J 19XMT1.85DOT That is a required DOT rim size marking so that YOU can determine the proper size tire even in a filling station in Afganistan. The rest of the the numbers are probably production codes that Takasago added for their internal use. If you look around you will find every (recent) motorcycle rim has a marking like that.

awesome thanks guys, and im redoing by last build and making a drop seat, magneto swap, rephasing, ill have lots of pics coming up, just started disassembling the engine
