You can buy a pound of stainless safety wire from Aircraft Spruce for fairly cheap without a cert. I think it might be a good option here. Twist it by hand then then twist it tight with duckbill pliers. Use the same pliers to fold the pigtail in on itself. You don’t need those expensive safety wire pliers.
If your pockets are deep, use Motion Pro premium fuel line and Motion Pro clamps. Install them with Motion Pro clamp pliers.
I’m not one who’s comfortable going clampless on gasoline lines.
