    No, not that kind of art.

    Back a few months ago, Bob (Mailman) responded with these words to my posting of a 1940's (?) era Radio City Products Signal Generator which I found while trash-picking. So I will give him creds for the term, "Garage Art".

    This genre of object is as important to me as anything else is in my garage, as esthetics creates the lubrication for Quality (reference to R. Pirsig) mechanics.

    Currently, the vintage signal generator is a cool focus of this space:

    I have old pistons on the shelf in Homage to Burt Monro's workshop,

    and various gauges on display.

    Most recently I picked up at a flea market a model train transformer like the one I used as a young child;

    ....and a poster I somehow managed to pry away from a local Yamaha dealership owner back in the early 80's (??) and had framed. Perhaps someone could identify the racer ? I've forgotten....

    So, what Garage Art adorns your workshop?

    In my mancave/shop/sanctuary, I've got License plates from my cars in Europe and bike tags I acquired along the way tacked up on the wall above the door to my shop. This years XS650.com calendar on another wall. Couple of pics of cars or airplanes. The biggest piece of art (in my humble opinion) is the KZ/GPz hybrid project...

    From Google Images Wainey:

    Judging from the toasted vegetation in the background, perhaps the pic is from Laguna Seca.....

    Wainey didn't join Yamaha till' 85. I believe it was early 90's when he got the #1 plate.

    Not sayin' it's not Wainey... that would just date that poster later than early 80's
