Bought a brass cap off Ebay and was hoping to get in touch with Monstercraftsman to get a bung for it but no luck. Anyways, I am hoping someone is willing to machine me a bung for the cap. Im 90% sure its 2" female straight thread, but ill be happy to send it so the bung can be matched. I tried looking for diesel tank filler but no luck finding those in steel.

If you find a source for these fillers, let me know. Ryder Fleet has a shit ton of cool looking brass or aluminum gas caps, but finding filler necks is a trick.

So you need a part that will go into the opening of the tank so that you can use the cap you bought ??

try coyte gear here is there address I don't know how to post links yet. http://www.coyote-gear.com/fillerscaps.html
thay have good prices and ship fast hope this helps  hay it worked!! lol haha

Im likely going to have a local machine shop make one, but I am expecting that to be kinda expensive. Honestly if its more than $35 its cheaper to simply order the whole kit from Monstercraftsman and hope its the right size. Then I can maybe sell the cap and use the bung

Here is the link to the cap I purchased.

Forgot to add, thanks for the link dirty. They don't make any steel bungs for that type of gas cap, and I don't have a TIG…

Have a battery operated sawzall? Know where theres some big CAT machinery? Bring the cap to be sure it works. Then you get a steel bung(maybe their Aluminum?) you can weld and you know it'll work!

sorry about that, you can mig weld it to the tank, just so you know that cap isn't vented
so you'll have to vent it or the tank.

Thanks, I found these guys, and am going to order some filler necks from them. They have a 2 inch tall neck that's the right thread for like $12. Not sure about shipping yet, but I'm going to order 4 or 5 necks for upcoming projects I have planned.

Alot of the diesel tank caps at this next link should work with their necks. And you can get vented and non-vented.
