About 9 months ago, I started a father son project with my son Anthony. We were hopeing to finish his bobber for his 16th birthday. Unfortunately, with the economy, and having had some issues with a vendor keeping our carbs for 4 months, that is not going to happen because TODAY is his 16th birthday. We are still a long way from completion, and are short a lot of parts that we need to finish the build. But we are pushing on. It's not about the timeline. It's about spending time with each other. Here are a few pics we have taken since we picked up our 72'.
Here's my 78 XS650 with a 16 inch stretch and raked with 8 inch over fork tubes....seat is lowered 9 inches...other than longer chain and apes.....everything else is stock...Runs strong and been riding this one for the last 13 years.
Here is my first project. 1981 Yamaha 650 Special. I will be transforming her into custom hardtail bobber with the online help of other dudes help on XS650 FORUM . I also have the inspiration from my cuz, Rob from Chappell Customs. These handlebars would look killer on her!!
