Google Chrome print screen function

Seems Google has deemed the print screen function useless.
I like to hit the print screen button and then open Irfanview and paste to edit.
It has always been quick and simple.
Chrome doesn't seem to recognize the print screen function button.

Anyone have a workaround that is as simple and quick?

Windows paint works for me on Google Chrome...

Thanks Airwolfe. Seems the problem may lie in Irfanview as "print screen" worked with paint.
Well it must have been a boot up giltch??? Shut down and restarted it seems to play well with Irfanview.
Not telling the little bride though, after a piss and moan session about it not working I have a leverage point for a new lap top. hee hee
