I really want to run a 2 into 1 exhaust system on my 74 TX. I've read reviews on Mikes 2 into 1 system mentioning a noticeable detriment to midrange power. Can anyone give me first hand experience with the Gordon Scott 2 into 1 pipes? A boost in the top end would be welcome, i spend alot of time over 5K, and i'm comfortable tuning the carbs to work with a change in powerband. I just dont want an un-curable midrange issue. For whats its worth, i have the bike running very well across the powerband as is, so its a good baseline. Currently running Uni filters and a pair of glasspacks. Thanks!

I'd be interested in any info as well.

I went thru this a couple years ago on an 09 Sportster, and the consensus on that bike was that 2-1's increased low end, to the detriment of high end. I believe it was due to the scavenging effect of one cylinder "assisting" the others exhaust.

I can't quite get my head around why the XS is different.
