I'm planning on doing a hardtail on my bike, and I was just wondering if anyone, (that's any better at geometry than I am) knows on average what angles the lower and upper legs of the frame need to be bent at.. Just a rough ball park figure would work. I have to bring the tubing in to get bent so I was just curious.
Also, anyone have any clever ideas on how to attach the legs to the stock axle plates? Should I use a solid steel slug that fits into the leg and have that attached to the plate, or does that seem like overkill? I'm just trying to get some different ideas on how to do it, and I don't really want to buy a new set of axle plates if mine are perfectly good. It's all about saving a couple bucks..

i hard-tailed mine by taking out the rear shocks, lowering it and putting 3/8 steel plate struts in

sell u one of these for 150...good starter tail
