Was thinking about running on on my bike instead of offsetting the front sprocket has anyone has experience with them? issues? worth it? pain in the ass?

I just designed and had a machinist friend manufacture a custom floating jackshaft for my cb750 chop. I did it because it has two outside downtubes instead of a single like my xs650 so the left downtube was in the way running a fat back tire. Also I did it for the cool factor...lol. Anyway, one of the xs650 sites sells a nice jackshaft...

I haven't run mine yet as the bike is still in mock up, but it all came together nicely and I expect no problems....

Yeah...gotta be different. Never seen another in my area. Then again I try to do a lot of mods I've never seen. I say, if you have the funds for the ardcore one, a little fab experience, and the funds...go for it. Here's something else you might like since the jackshaft will take up a little extra room...a vertical oil tank...I just ordered one:

Here's a mockup pick of my chop (before the jackshaft was added)
