OK, has anyone ever taken a hard tail off and put a swing arm back on ? I went to see a cheap bobber for sale ( a real butcher job ) . Does anyone make a kit for that ?

you could buy a swing arm easily (I have one I'd sell you) but welding the stock tail section in would be tricky. maybe one of the brat kits that monstercraftsman does. or just buy a stock frame, I've seen those around for cheap

I guess buying another bike with a titled frame and swapping motors would work, then I could sell the abomination bobber as a roller to some wannabe. Good idea, thanks.

I would look for a titled frame being sold alone, way less work
Finding bikes without a title is easy. Just get one, cut the back bone and down tubes infront of the crappy hardtail the cut the no paper bikes frame at the same places, plug and weld back together.

There is lots of aborted bobber builds out there . Some of them have put a few bucks into the motor and added the good stuff before they either ran out of money or a place to work on the build or a bunch of other reasons . I figure if I can score one that runs good and has had the wiring cleaned up it would be worth while to find a frame for it.
