Having a brain fart...which way should my timing mark move when advancing

Having a brain fart here guys, I have a pamco and a hhb pma, setting timing right now and when i roll on the throttle the timing mark i put on my stator goes towards the TDC mark on the sticker(tworads the rear of the bike). Is this correct, and if it is then what is the advance mark on the sticker for?

It should move toward the advance mark clock wise.

That's what I thought... thing is the bike will clear 2500 rpm and hit 5 k smooth as well as do 70 easy. So I'm guessing my timing light is lying.

ok well tried a different timing light and same damn thing, mark keeps moving backwards...anyone ever seen this?

This may sound like a stupid question but which side of the bike is your Pamco on?
should be on the left, advance on the right. If installed reversed it may try to advance backwards.

I don't why this would make a difference, but try hook the timing lights pickup to the other sparkplug wire
