Hi everyone. I have had a hard time trying to kick over my bike when its sat cold overnight. Its a recent build and it was resurrected from a 15 near nap in someones garage.

I have the carbs re-jetted to 140 and they are fully cleaned and rebuilt. Stock 34CV's running Mikes XS pods.

I just end up using starter fluid and fully open choke a few times till it kicks over a few times, then it starts up ok after a few minutes of warmup.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

1981 Heritage Special, stock carbs, pods, kick only

are you giving it throttle when you are kicking? Mine doesn't like any throttle at all when the choke is pulled. just choke only and she starts right up on the 1st kick.

Whats your pilot jet? Whats your air mix screw set at? Are the choke passages in the float bowl clean? Float level?
