Anybody happen to know the draw of the xs's stock headlight?
I got a hold of a pair of 55w HID lights and want to add one to the headlight bucket of my xs. Don't want to fry my wiring though.

The HID lights have a 55w halogen coupled with a 35 Watt HID bulb.

The stock bulb is a 50/40w bulb. That's 40 watts low beam 50 watts high beam.
The HID lights like yours run the 35 amp on low beam and project a lot of light. It just takes quite a power draw to get the transformer working. This draw is only for a very short time but is signifigant.
The high bean is just a plain 55 watt halogen bulb and draws 55 watts. I would suggest going through your lighting circuits to be sure all the connections are clean and tight as well as the switches.
Converting all the other lights to LED will help light the more powerful headlight.
Less draw on all the other lights leaves more for the headlight.

Cool. It should work then. I have most of my lighting set up as LEDs. Still need to convert my 34 ford replica to LED though. I'm thinking I'll give it a shot.

Ohms law... Watts/Volts = Amps
