head work question?

i have the head off of my bike. due to the dead cylilnder issue. i am looking for a place to take/send my head to have work done. i dont think there is anything wrong with it, but i would like to have it checked out. can a automotive machine shop do this work?

If your rebuilding the engine, why let some one else do something as simple as lapping the valves? A modified c-clamp and things come apart and go back together easy.
Search the tech sction for homemade tools. Tells just how to mod the clamp.
