I have a couple of project bikes and lots o parts anybody need anything?

It would be easier to tell me what you want. But I have an 82 heritage special showing 15k miles pretty much all stock cept the mufflers and some really ugly paint on about everything. Nearly complete, with title "should run" LOL
New sprockets but no rear tire or chain. Some rust but pretty good for an up-north bike.
Kicks over, has compression, electrics are a bit fuggled but not horrible.
About $700.00

Mostly the wife are I are sick of cold and snow, we might get in a little bouldering down at waco tanks, a cool park near El Paso. Big Bend the Guadalupe mountains, Carlsbad spelunking tour, indian ruins etc. We like parks, camping in the van, and hiking. The season of mud is upon us now. I did run Tacticals bike up and down the road Friday but sold it 20 minutes later  That's how it goes.

I have a titled 79 frame "debracketed" and engine with the top end apart. Other parts too.
I have a 78 standard with a holed piston but someone is thinking about that one.
81 special complete and original, titled, good compression, no battery never put one in it, bit of rust but not bad.

All ears for any off the beaten path cool things to see down that way.

If you drop down through OKC I'll recommend the onion burgers and coneys at Roberts of Johnnys in El Reno(west of OKC on 40), It is also home to Ft. Reno first a military post in Indian territory then one of the places German war prisoners were interned. They also have a nice railroad museum ( a major hub/home to the mighty Rock Island lines), a native American bison herd, lawn mower races on Saturday nights and Concho Indian Reservation is just to the north if Native American Indian history interests you BUT it has been years since I was there and the casino may be the only thing going there now.

My brothers and I will be leaving that area headed down through Sweetwater, TX to Carlsbad, N.M. at the end of May on the back roads(yes I'll be on the 6fiddy) so any surprises or side road attractions you happen upon would interest me. But sometimes I get outvoted on the roads and times kinda like when I missed 2many last year.
Hope it is an enjoyable trip for you.

Gary, If you enter Az on I-40(old 66)approx 40 miles in and off to the south is the Crater boul, thousands of years ago a meteor fell and left a hole 60 stories deep and maybe a half mile wide. If you haven't been there I would sure recommend it. Have a great trip. don

Yeah that would be cool, I've flown over that crater in a small plane.

Good idea 2many

I don't really need any parts, but just to make sure you do know there is a state *between* TX and AZ right? :D

The great state of NM, You betcha! We have wandered around NM a few times and will do so again this trip, again sorry to slight you like that!
We have cross country skied Valles Caldera a few times, spectacular! We like the ancient archaeology stuff and there is a lot of that in New Mexico. Haven't really explored Sante Fe though. We do tend towards the rural scene.

Thanks for the boost!
I have an eye on a bike in Alamogordo also.
