so I've searched and searched and can't find an answer for this one. I'm getting ready to wrap my pipes with 2" wrap. the most common thickness seems to be 1/16th". would there be any added benfit in spending a few more dollars and going to 1/8th inch thick. just wondering if anyone out there has used it or if everyone just sticks with 1/16.

The last time I installed header wrap, we overlapped by half the width of the wrap, which effectively doubles the thickness of the wrap.
Had no problems with it, until 3 years later when one of the headers fell off the car.
NEVER wrap mild steel headers.
