headlight issue , high beam only

Just putting everything back together on my 1975 650B, no Low beam headlight now , high beam works fine , it is not the bulb or at least does not appear to be,
assume the first thing to check is the high/low light switch - suggestions

I'd start by powering both filaments in the bulb, then trace the wiring back to the switch, and finally the switch itself?

Easiest way to check is to swap in a good spare bulb, if you have one. Otherwise, trace it back as rsor says.
