hi guys,
so ive found a program, good enough to sketch up the hard tail, and have all the right measurments and angles. while its winter outside, and i the bike sitting at friends shed. i thought ill try to get it all figured out with the numbers x,y,z :p maybe stupid, but hey, i want it to be perfect. and also will have it in 3d :p
for the 1979 2f i got the specification of overall length, width, height, seat height, wheelbase(56.5in wich i want to add another 3"or so, just cuz it looks short) and min ground clearance(5.3"- 5" which i want to keep) with the sketch that i found on this forum, i had few questions:
1. how am i able to find the height from the ground to the axle on the front wheel? and same with the rear?
-the rim is 17", but whith the tire? if im planning to put 190/55/17 or 190/50/17 on the rear for exmple.
2. so it says 5.3" from the ground? they mean 5.3" from lowest point of the frame?
3. is there dimension of the engine itself? to get the width of the lowest pipes.

i think its enough for now. prob shouldnt go to alot of details eh.

well the 2nd # in the tyre size is the aspect ratio, so a 120-60-17 tyre, to find the centre is- 60% of 120 = 72mm, add that to 17"/2 = 8 1/2", gives you a radius of about 11 1/2". you'll need to do your own conversion to get it exact, but you get the picture. cheers

lol so for front is 3.50 S19 4PR (which ppl sayin its 100/90/19) and rear 190/55/17. sooo, 331.3mm front and 319.9mm rear. is that sounds right?
