High rev then quick take off.

I know Ive had this problem before but for the life of me can't remember what to do to correct it. Advancer? Swapped motors recently and everything is golden except when giving it throttle, the motor revs hi and doesn't pick up speed until I throttle full open. It jolts and REALLY picks up speed as if something is sticking. Pilots are at 3 turns out, pma ignition is at 3500 rpms and advancer snaps freely. Ideas? Thanks men!

Not sure about this, but are you describing a clutch that is slipping? Adjust the clutch per the manual. What oil are you using?

Neh. Adjusted the clutch yesterday too but I figured what it was...just the timing was off. Adjusted the plate and set it to the correct timing mark and was done!
