Hitndahedfred (Fred Townsend)

Fred, No! Say it ain't so!
Aw hell, that cross country ride he's been planning for.....
I really like that guy. Just here, PM's and a few times on the phone, but damn he is a friend!
Smooth curvy roads forever, Fred.
Called local bud I see only a couple times a year, and we rode out and went nowhere today took us 8 hours and 250 miles to do it. Guess that is a fitting farewell, even if I didn't know it yet.
Fred we ride for you!
Gary, Fred spoke well of you. Said you helped him the most with his bike and was going to get a front brake caliper from you as his was leaking. Fred mentioned your ignition system several times on the group ride, said it made his bike come alive. He considered you a friend also.

What can I say that Dylan Thomas didn't say better:-

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Rage, indeed. Good one, fredintoon. I love that poem, and it fits perfectly. Our sympathies and prayers to the family of Fred Townsend (Hitndahedfred)
