how do I take apart a 1981 master cylinder?

I sold the XS650 yesterday and brought home the XG750 (Harley) today. I really like it, and I look forward to not tinkering with it.

Thanks! It's great to have a bike that has no problems and a factory warranty!

Nah...for me it's great to have BOTH an XS650 to work on and make your own...and another bike that has no problems (for now). But I'm certainly aware that this isn't always possible and am extremely fortunate that I can (and do) have just that.

Happy for you all the same. :)

You are lucky to have the place and the time to do it. I used to restore old cars, but I sold my last two in the past year. These days I work 60 - 70 hours a week and time is too precious for me to spend it fooling around with things that don't love me back. Thanks and good luck!
