When I press my brake pedal it goes down so far. Maybe 3 inches or so. My Haynes manual is too confusing. Does anyone know how to explain how to adjust it? If someone has pictures that'd be awesome.
Simply tighten the nut on the brake rod where it passes through the brake arm on the rear hub .....
Also, there is a pedal height adjuster bolt inside the frame that works against the bracket on the pedal pivot .....
Set the pedal height with this so it's low enough to get your foot onto easily and quickly. Do this first because lowering the pedal is going to tighten the brake adjustment. Also, check brake adjustment after tightening your chain. Moving the wheel back also tightens your brake adjustment.
