How much $ in your build?

I build a bunch a couple years ago and most were in the $3500 to $4500 range but if I had to build a clone today of one of those bikes it would be close to $6000.00
PARTS PAINT MACHINE SHOP PRICES all have good up since them.
Bikes too I use to buy $500 bikes as a start now you got to spend $1500 for something decent to work from. Buy a $500 bike now and the money you got to put into it just to make it run and look good and be something you can sell your sticking easy $3000 into it. But $500 bike are hard to track down running and have a title.
Take this bike built for $3500 resold for $4200 in 2010
Power coating cost me $600 THEN...now that's closer to $1000 or more
Motor then $900 now close to $2000
These bike now are built for own use so money not a issue

Initial purchase, fix the big stuff and get it on the road for a couple of years: Somewhere between $2500 and $3000.

In the tradition of "never finished"? Don't know, don't want to know, and DEFINITELY don't want SWMBO to know. $1000/yr would probably be a good guess tho.

Second time I've rebuilt the bike now, so long as the wife never manages to find out how much it's all cost it doesn't matter, mainly engine work but still running into lots especially with postage and import duty into the UK
