how much stretch? very tall rider...

Old dogs that have been bit when they were pups will take the tools, volt/ohm meter and a compression tester when looking at a running bike....doesn't mean they'll use them but it can show the health of the bike if need be and a new negotiation on price if there's an issue.

:twocents:That time when the "it runs great" bike won't start is the :heart:sweet spot:heart: in motorcycle buying!
At that point the seller is so OVER IT he'll take nearly anything to get it out of his sight.
On a twin I can usually gauge compression health good enough with the kick starter to make the purchase decision.
The reverse has happened too. Dig a bike out of a snow bank, have the damned thing start and run "good", bargaining leverage evaporates!
