I need another matching Key?

That's the key code number. Some Yamaha dealers can punch you out a new one from that number. You used to be able to just buy blanks for a couple dollars and have them copied at the hardware store or something. Like you, I needed an extra one for my 650 when I got it and they said it was $8 , blank or cut, so I had them cut it.

Do you have a brand name (like ILCO) and number for that blank they used? Run of the mill key blanks are pretty cheap but they seem to really hit you up for a "motorcycle" key blank, even though, chances are, it's just a normal blank.

What I was trying to say in my 1st post is Yamaha dealers have (or can get) the blanks, they just charge the same whether they cut it or sell it to you blank. Some racket, lol.
