Ive been doing a fair share of reading up on PMA and the Pamco ignition system for my 80. The one thing I continue to find is that it will NOT work with the existing CDI on my 80. I do have a 71 engine with many new ignition parts already on it. So the question is:

Can I use any of the new ignition parts from the 71 on the 80 and then purchase a basic Pamco set-up to work with the PMA?

Thanks in advance for the advice, the search didn't yield any straight forward results.

Hey, Phil, I'm no expert at this, but I believe you may need to put the spark advance rod and such into that `80. That's been covered quite well in the forums, try search on "pamco" and "advance". Look at threads that are less than 6 months old...
