Ok, I painted the wheels and installed. With the exception of the front fender (which I am working on) the front is complete. The rear wheel is the same as the front wheel (01-03 GSX-R 600/750/1000). Here are the mods needed to install this particular wheel, as you can see I do not have the sprocket or rotor installed, I am waiting on Rebel Gears to fab and send me the sprocket and hub adapter. I will be working on the six piston caliper mount after the sprocket, hub adapter and rotor are installed, I will post pics as well along with templates of caliper mount along with rear master cylinder and it's permanent location, if my calculations are correct I should be able to install a 140/70-17 on the rear instead of the 120/70-17 you see now. YORK Machine (St. Helena, CA. 707-963-4966) is manufacturing the wheel spacers for final fitment
Thanks for the radial explanation. I guess even a old dog can learn a LITTLE something new(ish)
For those into the "old school" right side up forks the SV650 set up is a fairly easy swap on.
I'm trying to get all the right info for a front brake upgrade. Stock XS650 35 mm forks, and spoke wheels. I like the GSXR calipers you used. Question... if I go that rout do I need to change the stock rotor too? If so what do you recommend? Also are there particular GSXR calipers (years/models) to use?
